El programa SMILE (Student Mobility & Language Learning) és una iniciativa entre el Departament d’Ensenyament i la Universitat Rovira i Virgili en la que estudiants d’Erasmus van a un centre escolar de Catalunya com auxiliars de conversa.
Aquest curs, a l’escola hem pogut gaudir d’un smilet, l'estudiant d'arquitectura Naomi, qui ha donat suport, 40 hores, a la llengua anglesa a l'alumnat d'infantil, 2n i sobretot a a la classe de 4t i 6è. La Naomi també ens ha apropat la seva cultura i ens ha explicat moltes curiositats del seu país Mèxic. Una oportunitat més per millorar la competència comunicativa en anglès i aprendre de les altres cultures.
Gràcies a aquest programa l'escola ha gaudit del següents smilets.

La Paschalina ens envia un missatge per explicar el que va significar el seu pas per l'escola:
It was truly one of the best experiences of my life and an unforgettable one. The teachers were incredibly kind and welcoming, the students were full of warmth, joy, and enthusiasm, and the school facilities created a wonderful and inspiring environment.
I will always remember this experience with great fondness and gratitude.
El curs 18-19 vam tenir l'estudiant Viktoria d'Alemanya.
La Viktoria ens comparteix aquest missatge per resumir la seva estada a l'escola.
My time in Reus with the Smile Program was truly transformative. It strengthened my confidence, deepened my appreciation for cultural exchange, and showed me how even small acts of teaching and kindness can have a lasting impact. Watching a student learn a new word, ask a surprising question, or share an idea made every moment meaningful and rewarding. As a child, I had dreamed of becoming a teacher but never felt brave enough to follow that path. This experience gave me the chance to work with children in a way that deeply shaped both my professional and personal life, while also immersing me in a new culture. For me, it remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

El curs 19-20 el nostre SMILE va ser el Jonathan d'Alemanya ens relata la seva estada a l'escola en el següent missatge:
“The Smile Program is a wonderful experience, not only because it gives you the opportunity to support children learn, but also because it allows you to connect deeply with the Spanish people and their culture, creating memories and friendships that last beyond your stay at the partner school.”
El curs 21-22 va venir l'estudiant Hüseyin de Turquia qui comparteix amb nosaltres aquest missatge:
It was a truly meaningful experience for me. I really admired the opportunities given to the children, and the warm environment made it feel like a family rather than just a workplace.
El curs 22-23 va venir l'estudiant de Sèrbia, Stasa qui ens envia aquestes paraules:
This opportunity allowed me to learn more about Spanish and Catalan culture and their style of learning. I give a lot of credit to their teacher, Meri, whose approach made the classroom a welcoming and engaging place for the students. The children were extremely curious, kind, and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
We did some fun exercises to help them expand their vocabulary and practice reading. The activities were designed to be interactive so the children could learn while enjoying themselves.
I also had the opportunity to teach the students about my home country, Serbia.
Overall, the Smile program gave me a wonderful opportunity not only to help the students learn English, but also to better understand their culture and way of life. It was a meaningful and memorable part of my exchange semester.
El curs 24-25 va venir la Lorène una estudiant de França i d'origen escocès, qui a més d'anglès també va fer unes sessions de francès a l'alumnat de 6è.

My time as an English language assistant in Reus was a very rewarding experience that helped me develop teaching skills, confidence in working with young students, and a deeper appreciation for intercultural communication.
